Restore strong and reliable front braking on your Aprilia RS 125 with this complete 4 pot front brake caliper. Designed as a direct replacement for the original style caliper used on RS 125 models from 1995 to 2005, this assembly is a practical solution when the existing caliper is worn, seized, corroded or no longer giving consistent brake feel.
The Aprilia RS 125 is a light, sharp handling sports bike, so a properly working front brake is essential. A tired caliper can cause dragging pads, uneven braking, poor lever feel or reduced confidence when slowing from speed. Replacing the caliper as a complete unit can often be a cleaner and more dependable repair than trying to rebuild a badly worn or damaged original.
Suitable for Aprilia RS 125 models from 1995 to 2005 that use the 4 pot front brake caliper type. Please check your existing caliper, brake hose fitting and pad shape before ordering, especially if your bike has been modified or has had brake components changed in the past.
Brake pads are included with this caliper, so it is ready for installation as a complete front caliper assembly. The pad information below is provided for future servicing, so customers know which replacement pads to order when the supplied pads eventually wear out.
Organic pads are a good choice for everyday road use, especially where smooth control, quiet running and disc friendliness are important. Sintered pads are usually chosen by riders who want stronger bite, better heat resistance and more consistent braking in wet conditions or harder riding. Both options above use the correct pad shape for this caliper, so the choice depends on how the bike is used.
This caliper uses a 1.25 pitch banjo bolt. The banjo bolt is not included. Always inspect the existing banjo bolt and washers before reuse, and replace them if there is any damage, corrosion or doubt about sealing.
Wemoto recommends that all brake components are fitted and checked by a qualified professional. Brakes are safety critical, and correct installation, torque settings, bleeding and final inspection are essential.
After fitting, bed the pads in gradually. Use a series of gentle stops from moderate speed, allowing the brake to cool between applications. Avoid holding the brake on while the disc and pads are very hot, as this can transfer material unevenly to the disc. Full braking performance will improve as the pad surface mates to the disc.
