Terra Circa

Around the world by motorcycle (6x20mins)

In the summer of 2001, five motorcyclists go on a 20,000 mile unsupported ride from London to New York. From the sunny plains of Northern Italy, the flyblown Steppe of Kazakhstan, to the uncharted mud and swamp of Eastern Siberia, tackling the infamous 'Zilov Gap' near the Chinese border; the team cross 392 miles of mud, rivers and swamp that had never been tackled by motorcycle before!

The DVD is split into 6 chapters and includes added credits and outtakes, along with a 56 page booklet of photos and stories collected during the team's journey.

Mondo Enduro

44000 miles in 440 days: The longest possible land route in the shortest possible time.

'When Mondo Enduro was conceived in the winter of 1992 it seemed like a substantial challenge to those involved. It was only in the few months before departure (spring 1995) that the possibly greater challenge of filming it was seriously considered. None of the seven riders had any experience of shooting or directing and of course, none of them were used to being in front of the camera. And indeed, what camera? After various call it became clear that as 'members of the public' the notional adventures of Mondo Enduro held zero interest to the TV establishment. Around the same time, Austin and Gerald's mum and dad had bought a fancy but chunky video camera; the Sony VX-1, the first ever Hi8 camera. The Vince parents' had found the VX-1 a touch 'new fangled' and gladly sold it on to the Mondo team. In many respects it is this single fact that made the Mondo Enduro show possible. This was the first time that amateurs were able to record their adventures to a high quality but on a low budget and hence, this DVD is in some small way at the vanguard of reality TV. The pivotal VX-1 camera was augmented with a truly miniature super 8 camera and a 1970s microphone from a car boot sale. Thusly equipped the team shot 21 hours of video and 52 minutes of cine film over the next 400 days. How it ever got onto the Discovery Channel thereafter, is indeed, another story...'

Mondo Enduro is an around-the-world motorcycle adventure from London, through Central Asia, Kazakhstan and Siberia; then from Alaska to Chile and finally from Cape Town through Africa and the Middle East back to London. The Mondo Enduro team take the longest possible route and attempt it in the shortest possible time.

Mondo Sahara

Dream it, Do it.

Starting in London, Austin's team of seven motorcycle fanatics ride off-road across Spain, Morocco and Western Sahara. With Beast of Burden's Richard Kemplay burying food, fuel and water across the deserts of Mauritania, and a GPS plot of the supply dumps; the team are supplied for the length of their journey by stopping each night to locate and dig up supplies for the following day. Their four week journey would take them across 1200 miles of wilderness in an adventure that had never been done before!

The DVD comes with a 'Mondo Sahara' badge and an illustrated 32 page booklet filled with stories from the journey.
